At APCON, we know that our actions impact the world around us, and it's our responsibility to respect the environment where we live and work. We must ensure that our impact is a positive one! APCON's adherence to the EICC Code of Conduct is our method to frame our social and environmental responsibility, and our behavior. We also know that it doesn't stop with us; we expect and require the same behavior from our supplier partners.

Environment

APCON works to continuously improve the environment through efforts to save resources and reduce our carbon footprint. With our efforts to be compliant with the ISO 14001 environmental policy as well as the EICC Code of Conduct we are committed to protecting the environment through continuous environmental improvement and environmental management.

Environmental Practices

APCON is committed to continuously improve the environment. We:

  • Monitor, review, and implement current environmental legislation.
  • Maintain an effective environmental management system that is compliant with the ISO 14001 environmental policy as well as the EICC Code of Conduct.
  • Keep employees informed and trained to comply with local, state, and federal environmental legislation and standards.
  • Set targets and objectives to reduce or eliminate adverse impacts on the environment (such as reduction and waste minimization practices). Contact APCON to request environmental reporting records.

APCON's Environmental, Health, And Safety Policy

APCON is committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees and customers and the environment in the communities in which we operate. The safety and health of our employees and protecting our environment is a priority consideration in the operation of our business. To that end, APCON endeavors to:

  • Involve: Ensure our employees are actively involved in Environmental, Health and Safety programs by reporting improvement ideas, hazardous conditions, accidents or environmental impacts.
  • Educate: Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety awareness and ownership through employee communication and training.
  • Maintain: Continually seek to discover workplace and environmental hazards, conserve resources, and reduce waste by maintaining appropriate certifications, setting objectives and having regular inspections.
  • Improve: Continuously improve our production and management processes to prevent accidents and minimize environmental impacts.
  • Comply: Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local legislation, regulations and other requirements.
  • Promote: Practice environmental, health and safety rules, procedures and best practices in all work activities to eliminate or minimize environmental, health and safety hazards.
  • Our Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs are designed to provide a safe workplace, prevent incidents, minimize environmental impacts and pollution, and assure compliance with applicable regulations. Each employee has an individual responsibility in the company EH&S program to protect themselves, their co-workers, company facilities, and the environment in which we operate.

Our suppliers are our partners. We expect our partners to be as dedicated to the values of corporate responsibility as we are: No less. Accordingly we work with our partners to adhere to the EICC Code of Conduct.

Expectations

APCON expects its partners to:

  • Operate in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the locale
  • Implement the principles in the EICC Code of Conduct
  • Acknowledge and agree to comply with the EICC Code of Conduct
  • Our Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs are designed to provide a safe workplace, prevent incidents, minimize environmental impacts and pollution, and assure compliance with applicable regulations. Each employee has an individual responsibility in the company EH&S program to protect themselves, their co-workers, company facilities, and the environment in which we operate.

Be the Change

We have a responsibility to influence change by playing a role in the eradication of slavery, human trafficking, and human rights atrocities. We insist that the materials used throughout our supply chain are acquired in an ethical and responsible manner. Our partners must share in this vision.

Be Part of the Solution

APCON has a zero-tolerance policy for ethical, legal, or regulatory violations. We encourage our partners to report in good faith any issues or concerns they might encounter involving APCON or APCON employees. Such behaviors may include improper or unethical business practices such as fraud or bribery.
