Richard Rauch, President & CEO
In 1993 APCON’s founder, Richard Rauch, envisioned a company developing computer connectivity products. Under Rauch’s leadership and through his passion for technology, APCON successfully expanded to become one of the industry leaders of state-of-the-art network monitoring solutions. Rauch has built an internationally recognized company with a global workforce delivering systems to Fortune 1,000 enterprises and midsize organizations in 40 countries. Today, he is an industry thought-leader and the driving force behind APCON’s vision to be a global technology and innovation company specializing in network security.
Prior to APCON, Rauch held a number of executive and engineering leadership positions at Metacomp, Unisys and Wavetek. Rauch holds a BSEE degree and a patent (U.S. patent no. 6,243,510) for the unique design of APCON's fiber optic switch system.
Beth Voydat, General Manager
Beth Voydat joined the company in 1996 and is currently the General Manager. She is responsible for facilities management of the company’s headquarters in Oregon and APCON’s regional office in Texas. Voydat also oversees the IT, human resources and administrative departments.
Voydat’s background in business and facilities management includes leadership positions at Prudential Northwest and Sun Valley Corporation, where she oversaw corporate relocations and was responsible for managing multiple departments. Voydat studied accounting and economics.
Drew Walker, Director of Finance
As the Director of Finance for APCON, Drew Walker is responsible for all financial aspects of the business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and monitoring of financial performance.
Walker came to APCON from TE Connectivity-Medical, where he was the Product Controller and was responsible for the startup of a new facility that represented unique ground-breaking manufacturing technology. Prior to this, Walker has held a number of financial management positions. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lewis and Clark College.
Thomas Huegel, Vice President of Operations
Thomas Huegel oversees APCON’s manufacturing operations, global supply chain, IT, building facilities, and environmental compliance. Huegel spearheads APCON’s organizational flexibility, ensuring the company is responsive to customers' needs. As Vice President of Operations, Huegel’s duties include growing APCON’s international sales and expanding the company’s global presence.
Prior to joining APCON, Huegel served in a number of manufacturing and engineering leadership roles for Radisys Corporation and Intel. Huegel holds an Executive MBA from the University of Oregon, along with a BSEE degree from the University of Idaho.
Gerry Murphy, Director of Quality
Gerry Murphy manages APCON’s product and software testing organization, and is responsible for the company’s credibility and customer confidence. His organization both in Oregon and Texas is committed to ensuring APCON’s solutions meet specified requirements.
Prior to APCON, Murphy held a number of technical and management positions at Radisys Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, Force Computers and Hewlett-Packard. He has a background in building world-class testing organizations. Murphy is a graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology in Ireland, and holds a Master’s degree from Glasgow University in Scotland.
Scott Jacobs, Director of National Sales
Scott Jacobs leads a team of regional and inside sales professionals. He is responsible for all North American sales, expanding and strengthening APCON’s channel partnerships, and contributing to marketing and business strategy.
Previously, Jacobs held executive sales and marketing positions with industry leaders in the technology sector, including companies that create financial, legal and HR compliance software. Additionally, he has a wealth of experience leading direct sales and channel organizations while at Wolters Kluwer, Intuit, Navex, Axiom EPM and Prophix.
Jacobs holds a MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a BA in Marketing Management from the University of Portland.
Vlad Rakocevic, Engineering Manager - Oregon
Vlad Rakocevic joined APCON in 2015 as the Engineering Manager for APCON’s headquarters. He oversees the hardware, firmware and software engineers responsible for designing and developing APCON’s network monitoring solutions.
Rakocevic has built a strong background in the development of networking products. He held a number of director and management positions at Radisys, where he managed and led the Software Architectural team. Rakocevic holds a Master of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia, along with MS and BS degrees in Electronic Engineering from the University of Belgrade.
Mohit Jalori, Engineering Manager - Texas
As the Engineering Manager at APCON’s Texas regional office, Mohit Jalori oversees and has grown a multi-skilled engineering team responsible for the design and development of software for APCON’s family of IntellaFlex XR switches, mobile applications, and multi-switch management software, TitanXR.
Jalori joined APCON in 2014, prior to this he had a long-standing engineering career, which included the leadership of the software development activities at Texas Instruments and Blackberry. Jalori received his MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Juan Garza, Director of Professional Services & Business Development
Juan Garza leads APCON’s international team of support and sales engineers, who provide an important 24/7 global customer support operation, and product training and consulting services. Garza has had an extensive career in the networking, telecommunications, broadcast video and semiconductor industries.
Prior to APCON, Garza held various management positions at Texas Instruments, Level One Communications, Agere Systems and Vitesse Semiconductor. Garza holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
Steve Baechle, Central Regional Sales Manager
Steve Baechle joined APCON in 2012 as the Central Regional Sales Manager. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations, and for developing and leading the business strategy in the region. Baechle oversees a team that works closely together and are responsible for forging long-standing relationships with APCON’s Fortune 1,000 and government agency customers.
Prior to joining APCON, Baechle held several network sales positions at Endace, Ditech Networks, VocalData, Inc. and Hypercom Network Systems. Baechle is a graduate from the University of Missouri-Rolla where he received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
Karen Thomas, Director of Corporate Communications
Karen Thomas is responsible for APCON’s global communications strategy and engagement with external and internal audiences. She oversees media relations, analyst programs, brand management, internal and executive communications, and digital and social media platforms. Thomas provides strategic guidance to the executive and marketing teams on programs to grow the company’s worldwide presence.
Prior to joining the company in 2013, Thomas held communications and marketing positions in the U.K., France, Germany and the U.S. for information technology, aerospace and defense companies. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Huddersfield University.
