Monitor

Increase Monitoring Efficiency in Enterprise Networks

Apcon Monitor Software combines with IntellaPatch switches to allow enterprise network managers to quickly move and share network monitoring devices electronically.

The software provides an easy, intuitive solution for sharing monitoring equipment by allowing administrators to designate and name layer 2 monitoring ports or SPAN ports that are connected to the IntellaPatch switch. The administrator may also designate and name the monitoring devices that also are connected to the switch. Based on this input, the software automatically provides a quick view of the connection status, which shows switch monitoring ports, sniffer ports, and active monitoring connections. Saving and recalling presets saves time by eliminating reconfiguration for commonly used set ups.

Monitor supports multiple data rates and media interfaces. The software supports copper Ethernet, as well as single mode and multimode optical Ethernet and provides media conversion between optical and copper, as well as between single mode and multimode devices.

Unmatched safety, security, and notification features ensure that network operation is never compromised. Monitor prevents switch SPAN ports from ever connecting and causing a catastrophic network failure and helps prevent disruptions in current monitoring connections. To address key security concerns, multiple user levels can be customized for individual software features, such as changing port assignments and recalling preset.
