New APCON Software Supports Key Enterprise Business Goals
Enterprise IT managers can breathe a bit easier thanks to APCON's latest release of its NetVis software.
This product allows IT departments to make better use of existing network analysis devices – and can actually reduce the
need to invest in new devices – leading to better support of enterprise objectives aimed at cost management and operational
efficiency.
“NetVis sets a new standard for the industry,” said Richard Rauch,
APCON president and CEO. “Not only is it packed with the richest feature set available today, but it
elevates the value of network monitoring technology by making both people and devices more productive.”
NetVis supports all aggregation and filtering capabilities available in APCON's
IntellaPatch® switches, including the ability to:
- aggregate multiple links and multicast to several destinations
- apply filters to both sources (ingress) and destinations (egress)
- build, save, recall and share filters among user groups

EnterPoint Software To Redefine Network Monitoring Strategies For The Enterprise
APCON has released a new version of its TITAN EnterPoint software – a ground-breaking
program that centralizes network performance management to a single pane of glass.
At its introduction last spring, EnterPoint was the first program to provide
centralized control for managing connectivity between Layer 2/3 switches and network analysis equipment.
The new version builds on the original product, providing capabilities that now support the most demanding
connectivity and efficiency requirements in global enterprise environments.
“EnterPoint takes centralized management to the next level,” said Richard Rauch, president and CEO of APCON.
“This software delivers cost savings and gives enterprise IT organizations even broader visibility of their networks.”
EnterPoint makes centralized connectivity management possible with features such
as a single interface from which a user can create, configure and track the progress of a monitoring session.
Designed as a platform for Fortune 500 enterprises, it makes global network monitoring and management possible
for the first time.

Recent Success: APCON Software Reduces MTTR in Enterprise Datacenter by 95%
A Fortune 1000 communications service provider recently reported a success story with their
IntellaPatch installation.
This Midwest-based service provider experienced a critical network failure in one of its U.S. data centers and
went off-line – completely halting services and dropping millions of customer calls.
In response, the Application Performance Manager quickly deployed traffic capturing devices across multiple network
access points. With the aid of his APCON IntellaPatch switch he was able to deploy
these devices – instantly and electronically – without having to leave his workstation.
As a result, he was able to reduce the traditional 24-hour troubleshooting window to just 90 minutes.
The benefit was clear – APCON helped reduce mean-time-to-recovery (MTTR) by 95% and contributed to saving the
company millions in revenue.

APCON Again Selected for Interop NOCs in 2010
For the third consecutive year, APCON has been selected as switch provider for the network operation centers
(NOCs) at 2010 Interop industry trade events in the U.S.
Chosen from among dozens of contenders, APCON will deploy its IntellaPatch Series 3000
switches – featuring the IntellaFlex aggregation and filtering solution – in the
Protocol Analysis area of the Interop NOC. Controlled centrally by APCON management software TITAN EnterPoint
(a Best of Interop finalist in 2009), these products will provide the show with connectivity management for network monitoring
and analysis devices.
With the combined IntellaPatch/IntellaFlex solution,
the Interop engineering team will be able to instantly and electronically connect network monitoring and security
appliances to monitoring ports on the show network as needed. This will contribute to maintaining 100% network uptime
and make it possible to quickly detect, isolate and solve any problems that arise.
Interop, the largest domestic exhibitions aimed at buyers and users of networked IT products and technology,
will be held in Las Vegas this spring (April 27-29) and in New York during the fall (October 20-21).
Now Showing – APCON Exhibiting at Global Trade Events in Early 2010
APCON will be showcasing TITAN EnterPoint alongside its
IntellaPatch and IntellaFlex packet aggregation
switching solutions at the following global events early in 2010.
Please contact your local APCON representative to RSVP your spot to test drive TITAN EnterPoint.
