IntellaPatch Packs New Capabilities into Smaller Chassis.
New from the leader in physical layer matrix switching
The APCON IntellaPatch 144 and IntellaPatch 64 are compact, modular chassis that combine with new, narrower, protocol-specific and multi-protocol blades for test lab and monitoring and analysis equipment sharing applications. The new 144 and 64 port chassis join APCON's recently released high-density IntellaPatch 288.
Embedded Web browser
In both chassis, an embedded Web browser GUI allows port-to-port connections to be electronically managed and controlled. The switches can be controlled remotely across any platform, using any operating system that supports a Web browser, including Windows, Linux, Solaris, and others. Customers have asked for this feature. APCON delivers it.
Advanced control options
An embedded programming interface supports scripting languages, including Java, TCL, PHP, PERL and others. To increase flexibility and to meet programmers' needs, advanced capabilities include Telnet, advanced scripting tools, and secure management interfaces such as SSL and SSH. Additional features include simultaneous access by multiple users, enhanced logging features, simple remote firmware upgrade support, and dual 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet control ports.
Saves valuable rack space
The new IntellaPatch 144 and 64 chassis provide higher port density without compromising port accessibility. Both modular chassis are configured with one-inch height blades that are narrower than APCON's legacy blades. The IntellaPatch 144 chassis (6U) can be populated with up to nine blades for a maximum of 144 ports, and the IntellaPatch 64 chassis (3U) can be populated with up to four blades for a maximum of 64 ports.
Each chassis supports a wide variety of protocol-specific and multi-protocol blades, enabling physical layer switching for 1-, 2-, 4-, and 10 Gb/s Fibre Channel, Ethernet from 10 Mb/s to 10 Gb/s, T1/E1/J1, DS3/E3/STS-1, SONET/SDH, and FDDI.
