New Software Bolsters IntellaPatch

APCON recently introduced software and application tools that add to the easy operation of IntellaPatch switches and help you manage your physical layer connections. These versatile solutions increase your productivity and improve your organization's profitability.

APCON ControlX
ControlX software provides a graphical user interface that enables intuitive management of switching configurations, monitoring of current settings, and retrieval of environmental parameters for any APCON physical layer matrix switch. With ControlX, you can accomplish port patching through a point-and-click and/or drag-and-drop visual interface.

ControlX Features
  • Directory tree structure simplifies multiple switch management
  • Tabbed views for common functions
  • Patch by name or port number
  • Connection status view
  • Digital diagnostics and port properties
  • Port highlighting for multicasting
  • Printing/Import/Export

Switch names are listed in a directory tree that simplifies management of multiple IntellaPatch switches. Select a switch from the directory tree listing; this activates the appropriate switch window. Assign logical names to switches, ports, and presents that are specific to your unique environment.

ControlX software is included with each IntellaPatch switch and is installed as a client application. ControlX software is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Solaris operating systems.

APCON WebX
An all-purpose embedded Web browser interface, WebX is standard in the new IntellaPatch physical layer switches. As a true embedded interface, there is no software to install. Users can rapidly manage electronic connections in an intuitive environment.

WebX is operating-system independent and is compatible with most Web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Mozilla FireFox.

WebX Features
  • Switch setup and configuration
  • Drag and drop for connecting devices
  • Patch by name
  • Real-time patching
  • Batch patching
  • Patch by drop down
  • Import/export in multiple formats including XML

WebX allows you to view current connections and reconfigure within any common Web browser. For added security, you can enable SSL over HTTPS from within WebX.
