APCON's aggregation technology allows a range of connectivity – from simple many-to-one connections up to more complex many-to-many connections.
Working through an intuitive screen in the web-accessible GUI, users are able to select the ports desired for patching and view a confirmation before applying the configuration. Once connections are set, users can view activity from a simplified port view screen or convenient dashboard, which offers a snapshot that identifies the source and destination devices, their location, the start time and scheduled end time, job code and link status.
Additional detail on a specific connection is accessible with a few mouse clicks, and detailed device information is available by right-clicking a particular source or destination. Users can also disconnect a session when the issue is resolved with a simple mouse click.
Users are able to build and view device connections as intuitive diagrams.
APCON's filtering technology works on all aggregated connections as well as simple one-to-one and one-to-many connections.
Working through a specially designed screen in the web-accessible interface, users are able to build and combine filters with Boolean logic. Filter options include all common Layer 2 through Layer 4 parameters; and these filters can be saved, recalled and shared across multiple user groups.
Users are also able to manage bandwidth with the aid of color-coded indicators that update automatically as bandwidth levels change with traffic. As levels approach the point of oversubscription, the user is alerted and can easily adjust the filters to manage traffic.
Intuitive interface enables users to build filters with the aid of drop-down menus and fill-in fields.
