One-to-one connectivity offers users the ability to connect any port to another.
Multicast traffic from a single port to multiple ports for one-to-many connectivity.
Aggregate multiple links together and direct to a single destination for many-to-one connectivity.
Multiple aggregated links can be sent to multiple destinations with many-to-many connectivity.
IntellaFlex and IntellaPatch support one-to-one connectivity, as well as one-to-many connectivity – that is the ability to take a single SPAN or Tap and multicast the data to multiple tools. This allows different user groups to view the same data with different sets of tools.
For example, operational managers may be using sniffers and probes at the same time security managers are using forensic devices – which enhances bottom-line productivity and reduces workload on the tools.
Users can also have many-to-one and many-to-many connectivity. In a many-to-one scenario, users can aggregate together a series of SPAN or Tap links, filter the traffic for specific criteria such as the IP or MAC address, and direct it to a designated analysis device.
Likewise, a user may take those same links, adjust the filters as desired and send them to multiple analysis devices at the same time to achieve many-to-many connectivity.
