Why should data center managers consider IntellaFlex? There are four key differentiators that separate the APCON solution from the competition:
IntellaFlex eliminates the need to trunk and stack multiple devices together, which introduces the potential of multiple points of failure in the monitoring process. It can also introduce bandwidth bottlenecks between daisy-chained chassis, thereby limiting any-to-any connectivity.
Managing bandwidth is also critical. In a trunked architecture, managers need to oversee aggregated bandwidth – between SPANs and tools, as well as across the chassis. If this combined bandwidth is not well managed, oversubscription will occur and network packets will be dropped.
APCON offers 288 ports in a single, integrated unit.
Other solutions require users to "trunk" devices together, introducing multiple points of failure.
Another key benefit of the integrated IntellaFlex and IntellaPatch system is that it features an independent control plane and data plane – resulting in the ability to maintain traffic in the event of failure.
With IntellaFlex, any ports on the chassis not being used for aggregation can still be used for one-to-one and one-to-many connections.
IntellaFlex users also have a choice of utilizing any of the four APCON interfaces – the widest range of options available today. All interfaces are intuitive by design, thus enabling fast and accurate connections.
