Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design and development of new embedded Linux software applications from conception through production
  • Develop tools to validate firmware design plus collect/analyze the data
  • Investigate problem reports, determine root cause and recommend solutions
  • Participate in technical reviews of product hardware/firmware/software requirements and designs
  • Generate and document new firmware for release
  • Update existing product lines as needed
  • Work in both an independent and team member environment to meet product goals

Qualifications

  • BSEE or BSCS degree required
  • 5+ years development experience in the following:
    • Embedded systems development in C/C++/Assembly
    • RTOS design
    • Linux low-level kernel, networking, and device drivers
    • Gnu cross-platform tools (gcc, gdb, etc.)
    • Understanding of LAN protocols, including TCP/IP
  • 3+ years development experience in the following:
    • Ethernet layer 2/3 switching
    • Network processors for Ethernet, especially Marvell and Broadcom

  • Experience with I/O hardware

Responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, qualifying and closing accounts, maintaining existing customer relationships, multi-state travel performing customer demonstrations, channel sales partner trainings/support and attending trade shows. This sales candidate must be an independent, self-starter with a "hunter" mentality and able to perform in a results-oriented sales environment.

Qualifications

B.S.
