Executive Team
Richard RauchPresident & CEORichard Rauch founded APCON in 1993 to provide state-of-the-art network connectivity to a wide variety of industries. Today, he is the driving force behind the research and development of APCON networking technology, and has built the company into a leading supplier of network connectivity products. Prior to APCON, he held the position of Executive Vice President for Metacomp, a manufacturer of Intel-based data communication products. During his seven-year tenure, Rauch actively managed corporate operations, including facilities, security, MIS, manufacturing, product design and sales. Previously, he held engineering positions at Unisys and Wavetek, focused on memory systems and test equipment. Rauch holds a BSEE degree and a patent (U.S. patent no. 6,243,510) for the unique design of APCON's fiber optic switch system.
Beth VoydatGeneral ManagerBeth Voydat joined APCON in 1996 and holds a broad spectrum of business administration experience. As General Manager, she oversees the human resources and administrative departments, and is also responsible for facilities management. Additionally, she serves as a Corporate Officer and is a key decision-maker for APCON's corporate investments. Voydat's background in business and facilities management spans over 20 years, including leadership positions at Prudential Northwest and Sun Valley Corporation where she oversaw corporate relocations, served as liaison for bank relationships, maintained purchasing and accounting relationships, and was responsible for managing multiple departments. Voydat's university studies have a focus in accounting and economics.
Mark HolmesDirector of Domestic SalesWith over 16 years of sales management, direct sales and channel sales experience, Mark Holmes has spent his career immersed in the high technology industry. As APCON's Director of Sales, he is directly responsible for overseeing a team of regional sales managers, inside sales professionals and the company's channel program, as well as maintaining and attracting key accounts for the company. Before joining APCON, Mark worked in a variety of sales management positions, including Distribution Sales Manager for FLIR Systems, the leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of thermal imaging and broadcast camera systems. Other sales experience includes sales positions for Quantum Measurements Corp. and American Interplex Corporation, where he increased annual territory sales by 290% and 400%, respectively, during his tenure. Holmes holds a BS in Engineering from Clemson University.
Gabe LuisDirector of International Sales, Asia Pacific and South AmericaAs the Director of International Sales, Asia Pacific and South America for APCON, Gabe Luis is responsible for driving sales, market strategy and channel development for the Asia Pacific and South America regions. His primary responsibilities include leading our sales organization and outside contracted partners to successfully represent APCON's state-of-the-art technology solutions, as well as managing the international sales forecast along with identifying new product requests and subsequent launches in support of our international customer base. Prior to joining APCON, Luis served in number of roles for RadiSys Corporation, most recently as their Director of Sales for Asia Pacific, Japan and South America, where he spearheaded efforts that netted the first system-based design wins for the company's 10G and 40G platforms. In addition to having over a decade of experience with the Asia Pacific region, Luis has also been responsible for developing and managing numerous world class sales organizations and channel partner development. Achievements include sales organization development in China and Japan, regional lead for integration of Intel's Modular Communication Platform Division (MCPD), as well as driving major new design wins for a number of multinational companies including Samsung, NEC, Fujitsu, LG, Toshiba, and Panasonic. Luis holds an MBA from George Fox University, along with a BA from Lewis and Clark College.
Juan GarzaDirector of Professional Services & Business DevelopmentJuan Garza manages the Professional Services organization and supports business development functions at APCON. He is responsible for overseeing customer support operations, product training, consulting services and business development functions. Juan brings over 15 years of experience in the networking, telecommunications, broadcast video and semiconductor industries. Prior to APCON, Juan held various business development, product management and marketing positions at Texas Instruments, Level One Communications, Agere Systems and Vitesse Semiconductor. His experience in networking and communications includes a variety of technology areas including network processing, digital signal processing, broadcast video and wide area network (WAN) communications. Juan has participated in various industry forums including the AVnu Alliance, Network Processing Forum, International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and DSL Forum. Juan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
Fan YangDirector of Engineering Quality AssuranceAs Director of Engineering Quality Assurance, Fan Yang focuses on the further enhancement of the engineering process in order to heighten product reliability, improve time to market, and ensure the manufacturing of top-line quality products. Yang brings over 18 years of software engineering expertise to the APCON team. Most recently, she served as the Senior Manager of Engineering for Symantec/Veritas Software, where she managed cross-geo teams responsible for the integration and interoperability multi-platform testing on Symantec Storage Foundation and Data Protection products. Yang holds a BS in Computer Science from Sichuan University, China and a MS in Computer Science from Montana State University.
Thomas HuegelDirector of OperationsAs the Director of Operations for APCON, Thomas Huegel maintains overall responsibility for planning, purchasing, production and manufacturing operations for the company. This includes initiating on-time development to bring products to market more quickly, as well as increasing organizational flexibility to be more responsive to customers' needs. Prior to joining APCON, the 20-year high tech veteran served in number of roles for RadiSys Corporation, most recently as their Director of North American Product Operations. Among his many responsibilities in this position, Huegel managed global Test and Manufacturing Engineering, with efforts resulting in decreases in Functional Test Development time as well as in-circuit test costs. He has also served in various lead engineering roles for Intel. Huegel holds an Oregon Executive MBA from the University of Oregon, along with a BSEE degree from the University of Idaho.
Lu-Ann MeierDirector of Human ResourcesLu-Ann Meier brings a wealth of experience to APCON as Director of Human Resources. Her focus is to instill the processes needed to attract and retain high-caliber technical and management staff. Meier's experience includes 20 years of increasing responsibility with Kentrox, Inc., where most recently she served as Vice President of Human Resources. In that position, and in those leading to it, she managed functions responsible for corporate compensation and benefits plans, leadership recruitment, training and development, federal and state regulatory compliance, labor resource planning, business and IT systems, and facility management. Meier earned Advanced Human Resources Certification from Portland State University. In addition, she has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Portland Human Resources Management Association. |
