Richard RauchAPCON President and CEORichard Rauch founded APCON in 1993 with the aim of providing state-of-the-art connectivity devices to a wide variety of industries. Today, he is the driving force behind the development and launch of a breakthrough switching technology and has built APCON into a leading supplier of network connectivity products.Extensive experience in product development, marketing, corporate and product line management, coupled with an understanding of the customer's perspective, have been the foundation for Rauch's expertise and leadership. Rauch's background in networking and test engineering began at Burroughs (now Unisys), where he served as a test engineer for memory systems. He later joined the engineering staff at Wavetek (now Acterna) as a design engineer of test equipment focused on enabling emerging communications markets. In 1983, he left Wavetek to take on the role of General Manager for Electro Design, a start-up company focused on designing and manufacturing memory test systems and emulation hardware. While in the position he had oversight of operations, product development, sales, and marketing. His propensity for strategic product development and management grew when he accepted the position of Executive Vice President for Metacomp, a manufacturer of Intel-based data communication products. Rauch served at Metacomp for seven years, where he actively managed corporate operations, including facilities, security, MIS, manufacturing, product design, and sales. Rauch holds a BSEE degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University and undertook graduate studies at San Diego State University. In 2001 Rauch received a patent (U.S. patent no. 6,243,510) for the unique design of APCON'S fiber optic switch system.
Beth VoydatGeneral ManagerBeth Voydat joined APCON in 1996. For the past 10 years Beth has been an integral part in the expansion and notable success of APCON. Her attention to detail has created a solid foundation that the growing staff and company have come to rely upon.Beth's primary responsibilities are in Human Resources and Facilities Management. Creating a productive and cohesive company culture for new and veteran employees through her "lead by example" work ethic and knowledge of Human Resources enables her to maintain a professional, yet warm, business atmosphere. APCON expanded into a new office building in 2006. Beth's previous 10 year history in real estate management proved to be beneficial for this move as she supervised the entire moving process, including design, construction, décor and logistics. Beth's responsibilities have increased proportionally with the new world headquarters, resulting in an ever-growing demand for Facilities Management. Beth also serves as a Corporate Officer and is a key decision-maker in the continued success of APCON. With such a demanding pace and set of responsibilities, Beth continues her leadership at APCON with patience, perseverance and flexibility. Beth attended Portland State University with a focus in Accounting and Economics.
Mark HolmesDirector of SalesWith over 12 years of sales management, direct sales and channel sales experience, Mark Holmes has spent his career immersed in the high technology industry. As APCON’s Director of Sales, Mark is directly responsible for overseeing a team of regional sales managers, inside sales professionals and the company’s channel program, as well as maintaining and attracting key accounts for the company. Since joining the company in 2001 he has increased sales 100%.Before joining APCON, Mark worked in a variety of sales management positions, including Distribution Sales Manager, for FLIR Systems, the leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of thermal imaging and broadcast camera systems. Other sales experience includes sales positions for Quantum Measurements Corp and American Interplex Corporation, where he increased annual territory sales by 290% and 400%, respectively, during his tenure. Mark graduated from Clemson University with a BS degree in Engineering.
Robert A. DotySenior EngineerBob Doty has peppered his career with firmware and microprocessor and software design of all shapes and sizes. He's delved into the technologies behind such varied applications as credit-card kiosk terminals, high-resolution intelligent graphic displays, and professional audio test equipment.Before joining APCON in 1998 as the company's Senior Engineer, he held senior engineering and management positions with such revered technology companies as Tektronix, ATM Technologies, Biamp Systems and Audio Solutions. Today he is actively involved in all aspects of new product development at APCON. To his credit, Bob played a major role in the most recent generations of APCON's SCSI switch products, as well as the development of the company's physical layer switch line for Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and SONET. Bob graduated in 1976 from Washington State University with a BSEE degree. |
